Sebastian is somewhat harsh toward Helena but I felt it was more of the way he was raised but he did have some softer moments. They are feeling their way through their feelings and the old legend of the 'sacrifice'.
This is a Dark Romance that does end with a cliffhanger to set up the next installment in their story.
