Beast by Sophie Oak / Lexi Blake is book Two in A Faery Story Series. This is the story of Kaja and Dante. I haven't yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book. Kaja is a wolf shifter whose father, brother and mother have died leaving her a hated orphan in her wolf pack who they abuse. Kaja is finally forced to leave the pack to make it on her own. Dante is a vampire playboy who doesn't think he can settle down but his family has put it to him that he needs to find a wife and settle his ways. Dante ends up buying Kaja and makes her his temporary wife but problems start when he finds he can't let her go. Enjoyed their steamy story.
