Review: Duke Darcy's Castle

Duke Darcy's Castle Duke Darcy's Castle by Syrie James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Duke Darcy's Castle by Syrie James is book Three in the A Dare to Defy Series.  This is the story of Kathryn Atherton and Lance Granville, the Tenth Duke of Darcy.  I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Kathryn goal is to be the first women architect in Britain now that her schooling is over.  Kathryn has set to remodel a crumbling castle but when she arrives she meets Lance.  Kathryn is immediately attracted to him but she can't be distracted by that when her goal could be put in jeopardy.  Lance has inherited the family title along with debit and a falling castle which none of it he really wanted.  But what takes him more by surprise is Kathryn who shows up to work on his new home.  The attraction is fast and he can't seem to stop his feelings...then he learns there is more to her than what she shows.
Enjoyed their story.
