Meet Maggie Sims



Maggie Sims began her love affair with romance before her teen years, drawn to the Regency by her mum's British influence. In her twenties, she did her best to live the Carrie Bradshaw life in New York City, albeit with less expensive shoes and more books.

Despite reading hundreds of romance novels in her life, she was still blown away when she met the love of her life, an ex-Marine cinnamon roll with creative culinary skills.

They live in Central Texas and are parents to a varying number of dogs and cats. When not writing, Maggie is a wine enthusiast and a travel junkie, and crochets sporadically for Knots of Love.

Sophia's Schooling by Maggie Sims is the First book in the School of Enlightenment Series.  This is the story of Edward Morduant,Earl of Peterborough and Sophia Wilkinson.  Edward has disability when it comes to read in addition he was abused as a kid for his issues.  Being the second son he wasn't to take the title but now in his present day he is the newest Earl.  With that comes the responsibilities of marring and creating an heir.  But Edward has more secrets in his personal life so he doesn't think this marriage will be more than a marriage of convenience.  Sophia was raised by her father in the country with him teach her things that young ladies don't learn.  So she is up on the modern day news and what is going on.  Along with helping to run the farm and taking care of animals.  But then at 18 she finds that she has lost him and everyone that she loves.  But her cousin and his wife the the Earl of Suffolk have come to bring her to London for a season. This is where se meets Edward and a deal is struck but they find it turning into more.  This was a hot Regency romance.
