Pride by Eva Charles is the First book in the A Sinful Empire Duet. This starts the story of Rafael Huntsman and Alexis Clarke “Lexie”. If you have read the 'A Sinful Empire Trilogy' then you have meet our main characters. But this book can be read without reading that Trilogy. Rafael and Alexis have known each other since they where young because their families are so close. But Rafael has always liked Lexie and at Valentina’s wedding he acted on those feelings but they were interrupted. Which, Rafael always felt was for the best. Now, in their present day Lexie still remembers that encounter and wouldn't mind more. Rafael is a guarded person and he feels that he needs to resit Lexie. This starts their story and I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens next.
