Heathens by Alta Hensley is the story of Storee Brooks and Locke Hartwell. Locke feels guilty for not protecting his best friend as he feels he should have. So when his daughter Storee is left in his care he tries to protect her the best he can.  Sometimes even from his feelings towards her. Storee has an attraction to Locke but she knows it won't go anywhere or so she thinks.  Then she signs up for the "Hunt' which has Locke knowing he has to protect her but he can't stop his feeling anymore.  Loved this dark taboo romance.  I highly recommend Ms. Hensley writing!
