Review: Ruthless Bastard

Ruthless Bastard Ruthless Bastard by Stacey Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ruthless Bastard by Stacey Kennedy is book Three in the Dangerous Love Series. This is the story of Kinsley Knight and Rhett West. I have read the previous books, but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Rhett had left his home town to join the Military and his plan was to make that a lifetime decision. But then he was injured which of course made that plan change to him being retired from the military and returning back home. But along with his two friends they became detectives in law enforcement. Rhett is a homicide detective who has taken to drinking to much and sleeping around to much. Kinsley has always had a crush on her brother's best friend but never got noticed or was able to act on it. But at her brother's wedding she does get her only chance to taste the forbidden fruit that is Rhett. But afterwards, Rhett goes back to ignoring her until she and the bar she owns becomes threatened. Rhett has gone into protective mode but especially after finding out something that Kinsley hadn't yet told him. Enjoyed this page turning story!

Review: The Highland Rogue

The Highland Rogue The Highland Rogue by Amy Jarecki
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Highland Rogue by Amy Jarecki is book 7 in the Lords of the Highlands Series. This is the story of Divana Campbell and Sir Kennan Cameron. I have read the previous books but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so. Diviana and her parents were thrown of of their clan when they had fell sick to what seems to be Small Pox. Diviana survived to live on but has been living on a island. Kennan ends up surviving a ship fight that lands him washing on shore where he finds Divana in her hut. Divana, although scared goes forward to help him and his injuries. When Kennan is finally rescued he takes Divana back to his clan. With them both being of different social standings not to mention different clans, Divana doesn't see her being anything more to Kennan. But of course feelings and love can't be stopped for anything. I really enjoy this author's writing and hope to read more from this author soon.

Review: Day of the Dragon: Two full books for the price of one

Day of the Dragon: Two full books for the price of one Day of the Dragon: Two full books for the price of one by Katie MacAlister
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Day of the Dragon by Katie MacAlister is book Two in the Dragon Hunter Series. This is the story of Archer and Thaisa. I have read the previous book (and Loved it!) but feel you wish to make this a standalone you can. Thaisa doesn't have self confidence in her looks due to her unique look which has lead to looks and comments. But what she does strive in and have confidence in is studying ancient artifacts, becoming a scholar. Archer is a dragon shifter who has been at war with his twin bother for several years, each killing or harming the other members of their tribe. Now, he thinks he has found a way to end the war which leads him to Thaisa. Archer never really planned or thought of finding his mate during this time but that is what Thaisa is turning out to be. Thaisa with her low confidence didn't think someone like Archer would be attracted to her but he is making her see that she is more than she thought. I liked their banter, which kept things somewhat light.
In addition to the great book, there is a 2nd book added called WOLF'S MATE by Celia Kyle, which I also very much enjoyed.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bad For You J. Daniels is book Three in the Dirty Deeds series. This is the story of Shayla Perkins and Sean “Stitch” Molina. I haven't yet read the previous books, so this was a standalone book for me.

Review: More Than Words

More Than Words More Than Words by Mia Sheridan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

More than Words Mia Sheridan is the story of Callen Hayes and Jessica Creswell.
Callen and Jessica meet when they were young kids going through harsh times. They became friends and made their own magical dreams at the time. But later Callen gave her a first kiss but then left her. Callen became somewhat famous but for him he ended up personally drinking and sleeping with women to forget the pain he was living with. By chance they meet again, Jessica still has stars and somewhat innocent dreams with life even though she too knows hardships.
This was a very emotional read with their story line but overall I enjoyed their story.
