Seducing the Enemy by Shayla Black is book 4 in the Forbidden Confessions Series.  This is the story of Jett and Whitney.  Jett was once Whitney's brother best friend and her young crush.  But then things happens to break the friendship between the two men which lead of course from Jett wanting anything to do with Whitney.  Now in the present day, Jett thinks that he can get revenge on his former friend and fulfill his want for Whitney.  But of course nothing goes as plan. I plan on read more from this author in the future.  Enjoyed this Quick Hot Read.

Pierce is a loner who happens to work in a group as a sniper but he stays to himself not bothered about anything else but doing his job. But when he meets Brea something starts to break in him and his thinking. But his fellow operative Cutter Bryant is claiming her as his girl. But Pierce just might have to change that because his feelings are just growing toward her. Brea's mother died at a early age and her father is a Southern Preacher and her best friend happens to be Cutter Bryant who is protective of her. But when she is warned away from Pierce she tries to be the good girl that she is but something about Peirce brings out her wicked side. But danger happens and this book ends sitting us up for the next installment in this series....can't wait!!

“I hope. In her head, I’m all alone, and Finn is only marrying Dana because he’s a stubborn dumb ass. But if she sees I’ve moved on, too, I have to think she’ll give up.”

“Tell me one thing that will really convince her you’re no longer interested in Finn.”

Skye pauses. “I haven’t thought about it like that… Probably behaving unlike the way I did with Finn.”

“What do you mean?”

“She was always encouraging us to kiss and hold hands. She would give us romantic weekends away. Once, when I made an offhanded mention that my period was late, she asked me—gleefully—if there was any chance I was pregnant. I didn’t have the heart to tell her no.”

Devoted to Love by Shayla Black is book Two in the Devoted Lovers Series. This is the story of Magnolia West and Josiah Grant. I have read (and Loved!) the previous book and you do see where Magnolia and Josiah meet at the end of that book, but I feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Magnolia and Josiah hook up at the wedding both thinking a quick hot encounter but it ends up being more. Magnolia's grandparents and near by other farmers are having some trouble from a group of people in something of a cult. So Josiah and his team ends up staying to see if they can help out. While Josiah is busting the case on the cult he is also working on his feelings for Magnolia, something he didn't expect but no something he can walk away from. Magnolia was the happy ever after women but the more she is around Josiah the more that might be changing.
This was a hot suspenseful read...Loved it!

More Than Tempt You by Shayla Black is book 5 in the More Than Words Series.  This is the story of  Bethany Banks and Clint Holmes.  I have read the previous book but I do feel if you want you can make this a standalone book.  I really have enjoyed the previous books so you might not want to miss out.  This book has the underline theme of revenge by the hero Clint who feels that Beth may be one of the people responsible for the tragedy in his life.  Clint changes his identity to try to find the answers he needs but he is finding that Beth might not be all that he first thought.  Beth is proving to be the total opposite of the harsh cutthroat women he thinks committed these unforgivable crimes against him and his family.  Beth is trying to deal with learning some harsh realities along with getting away from people that are out to do her in.  When she meets a man who she feels has brought so needed joy to her but what will she do when she learns that he isn't what he seems.
Their story was a page turner for me...big fan of Ms. Black's writing.
